Hint Health, a platform company for direct primary care providers, announced a $45 million investment led by Banneker Partners and Frist Cressey Ventures. The company will use the funding to increase support for its operating system technology and expand its direct primary care network. It also plans to increase services around its virtual-first care models and on-site clinics that directly contract with employers.
CareMax acquires Steward Health Care System’s value-based Medicare business
Rite Aid, the national pharmacy chain, is partnering with rural health-focused, digital health startup, Homeward. The two companies will connect underserved seniors with providers and other clinical services. Rite Aid pharmacists will be able to introduce Medicare-eligible customers to Homeward's clinical services, including annual wellness visits, screenings and risk assessments. The arrangement will start in Q3 2022 for individuals covered by Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.
Digital health M&A to peak later this year, experts say
Lightbeam Health, a population health management tech company, acquired the operating assets of Jvion, an AI-enabled analytics company for an undisclosed price. The deal combines Lightbeam’s health analytics products for payers and providers with Jvion’s predictive analytics technology. Jvion also has analytics capabilities to address the social determinants of health.

• Culina Health, a personalized nutrition and health coaching platform, secured $4.75 million seed funding.
• Moxe Health, a healthcare interoperability platform for payers and providers, raised $30 million in a Series B funding round.
• Endpoint Health, an AI-powered precision medicine platform designed to improve the clinical decision-making outcomes of illnesses like sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome and COVID-19, closed $52 million in a Series A funding round.
• SamaCare, a cloud-based prior authorization platform for specialty medications, closed $12 million in a Series A funding round.
• Accrete Health Partners, a digital health consulting firm, acquired Nordic Consulting Partners, a healthcare technology consulting company.
• Greenlight Guru, a healthcare practice management platform, acquired SMART-TRIAL, the maker of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platform designed for medical devices and diagnostics.
• SpectrumAi, a digital health company that develops innovative solutions in the autism space, today announced its $9 million funding round.
