Digital health funding and deals roundup: Telemedicine abortion provider secures ‘Roe Round’

    Hey Jane, a telemedicine abortion clinic, secured a $6.1 million ‘Roe Round’ after the company said investor interest spiked after the Supreme Court’s ruling on Roe vs. Wade. The company said it will use the funding to grow its team, expand payer and enterprise partnership and launch in new states. The company said it plans to expand select services to all 50 states by the end of 2023. 

    Bright Health raises $175 million to shore up shaky finances 

    Digitalis Ventures, an early-stage health venture fund, announced it closed its fourth fund, totaling $300 million. The New York-based firm has funneled investments to 50+ companies in the U.S. and Europe.  

    Startup that develops AI-enabled MRIs grabs $70 million in funding  

    Viome Life Sciences, a health diagnostics company, announced it closed a Series C funding round totaling $67 million.  The company, which recently launched an at-home diagnostic tool to detect oral and throat cancer, said the infusion of cash will fund new product development. Bold Capital Group led the round, which brought the company’s total funding past $150 million.  

    Remote monitoring company AlertWatch sold to BioIntelliSense 

    Allina Health and Flare Capital Partners announced the public launch of a new company, Inbound Health. The company will focus on helping payers and providers launch hospital-at-home and skilled nursing-at-home programs.  

    How Privia Health avoided a digital health post-IPO freefall 

    Northeast Georgia Health System, a community health system with four campuses, is launching Northeast Georgia Health Ventures. The fund will work with independent, mid-sized health systems to establish, staff and manage their own health ventures. 

     

    More deals and funding rounds: 

    Bain Capital, a private equity company, made a strategic investment in digital health company, CitiusTech

    Eyenuk, an AI company focused on eye screening and predictive biomarkers, raised $26 million in Series A financing.  

    Gritti, a social fitness app, secured $1.7 million in a seed funding round. 

    Feel, a digital health and wellness subscription company, secured about $10 million in a Series A round. 

    Redi.Health, a digital patient support platform, announced an undisclosed growth funding round. 

    EngagedMD, a fertility technology company, said it secured $11 million in an undisclosed funding round. 

    Variantyx, a precision medicine company, raised $20 million in debt financing.  

    TuMeke, a computer vision platform, announced it raised a 2.5 million in seed funding.  

    Rhino Health, a healthcare data analytics company for medical researchers, secured $6.7 million in a seed extension round. 

    Noala, a London-based speech and language therapy platform, finalized a $4 million seed funding round. 

    Mindful Care, an online platform for booking mental healthcare appointments, secured $7 million in a Series B funding round. 

    Verseon, a drug discovery platform, announced it had acquired Edammo, an AI company.  

    Tivic Health, a company focused on bioelectronic medicine, said it planned to acquire Reliefband, a product line for nausea treatment.  

    Limber Health, a musculoskeletal care company, announced the closing of an oversubscribed $11 million Series A round. 

    SubjectWell, a clinical trials platform that matches patients with chronic health conditions to new care options, raised $35 million in a Series B funding round. 

    Connective Health, an interoperability platform with clinical grade summaries and predictive insights that enable more integrated care between primary and specialty care, completed its seed funding round.
