LifePoint Health has hired Walgreens Health veteran Jessica Beegle as its chief innovation officer, according to a news release Monday.
Beegle will lead LifePoint’s efforts to deliver more care to patients at home and in their communities. She will also help lead LifePoint’s health tech startup incubator, a joint venture between the Tennessee-based health system and venture studio 25madison.
“LifePoint operates from a set of deeply engrained strategic priorities that serve as a foundation for how we do business, and one of these important priorities is innovation,” Jason Zachariah, president of integrated solutions for LifePoint Health, said in a news release. “With Jessie at the helm of our work to drive innovation going forward, we will be able to further strengthen our position as the leader in the delivery of community-based healthcare and continue to advance our mission of making communities healthier.”
Beegle most recently led commercialization for Walgreens Health’s consumer- and tech-focused healthcare business. She previously led consumer health for Google and helped found Amazon Web Services’ healthcare and life sciences business.
Beegle advises several health tech companies and serves on the board of directors for Science37 and Arterys.
LifePoint Health is one of the nation’s largest for-profit health systems. The Tennessee-based health system employs about 50,000 people in 29 states across nearly 70 community hospitals, more than 30 rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals and over 170 other care sites.
