Brock comes to Modern Healthcare from Indiana Public Media where he was the state's first reporter dedicated to covering rural communities. In that role, he covered four state legislative sessions, investigated the state's COVID-19 response, exposed allegations of abuse in a rural nursing home, and shed light on a forgotten community of Black farmers. Brock's work has appeared on NPR's Morning Edition and the PBS NewsHour. Before Bloomington, Brock completed a short stint in commercial TV. He's a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, IN where he serves on an advisory committee for the school's student newspaper. Brock is currently finishing a graduate degree in Policy Analysis from Indiana University's O'Neill School. When not in the newsroom, Brock is likely on or planning a trip, discovering and critiquing new local restaurants, or reading non-fiction. He's an avid coffee drinker.
