University Hospitals in Cleveland is collaborating with Premier's PINC AI Applied Sciences (PAS) to advance clinical research, according to a news release.
Through the collaboration, UH and Premier will explore developing new services, interventions and other health care initiatives.
Premier's goal is to improve outcomes and financial performance and enable development of alternative payment models, according to the release, which notes that the PINC AI Healthcare Database represents more than 1 billion inpatient and outpatient encounters from more than 1,000 geographically diverse sites.
"Leveraging our combined data and research expertise will enable reduced research timelines, clinical care pathway development and testing, early disease intervention and help drive innovations in clinical, quality and operational effectiveness," said Dr. Peter Pronovost, chief clinical transformation officer and chief quality officer for UH, in a statement.
